Travelling with kids under 18?

If your journey takes you to or from South Africa, make sure you’re prepared with the right documents. In addition to your child’s passport, you’ll need an unabridged birth certificate(showing both parents’ details) plus a parental consent affidavit or court order if one parent isn’t travelling.

Heading to the USA?

If you’re a citizen of a Visa Waiver Program (VWP)country, you may not need a visa for short trips! Instead, you can apply online for an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization)—perfect for visits of up to 90 days for business or leisure.

To qualify, you’ll need a valid passport from a VWP country and you must be traveling without a visitor visa. Remember: an approved ESTA is required for entry under the Visa Waiver Program.

Planning a trip to the UK?

If you’re travelling on a passport from a visa-exempt country, you may now need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) for short visits.

This applies to many travellers, including citizens of the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and most European countries (with exceptions such as Ireland). The ETA is quick and easy to apply for—and it’s your ticket to hassle-free entry into the United Kingdom.

Starting October 12, 2025, the European Entry/Exit System (EES) will change the way non-EU travellers enter and leave the Schengen Area.

Instead of manual passport stamps, the system will use biometric data—like fingerprints and facial recognition—to record your entry and exit. This will help calculate how long you can stay and make border checks faster, smarter, and more secure.
